You don't have to pick up a shovel and dig six feet holes to be a successful gardener. Nor do you have to be an expert to enjoy gardening. However, if you are a novice to gardening, it'd be wise to seek out the help of local garden clubs. They'll be more than happy to help you - even if you're not a member. And even if you do decide to become a member, it'll definitely not strecth your pockets.
